Mexican Government Account Book

Scope and Contents

The Mexican Government Account Book Collection (August 1822-December 31, 1823) contains one Mexican government account book that includes a listing of payments for goods and services. Each page contains a stamp with the official seal of Mexico, and is embossed with an image similar to that of a Ferdin VII coin. All entries are signed either "Dominguez" or "Jose Igancio Dominguez" with some entries for payments to [Agustin de] Iturbide. Account book is in Spanish.

Locations featured in this album include: Felipe, Hondo, Durango, Guadalajara, and others.

Minidoka Incarceration Camp Photograph Album

Abstract

This collection contains one photograph album mostly depicting life at the Minidoka Incarceration Camp located in South Central Idaho during World War Two. The album contains images of life inside and presumably outside the camp. It also features photographs of Ben Kuroki, a Japanese-American who served in the United States Army Air Force during World War Two. The photo album has been digitized and is available online.

Abstract

This collection contains letters, essays, issues of the “Cycloner” (the daily paper of the 38th Infantry Division), and other materials from Sgt. Warren J. Mone, sent mostly to his aunt and uncle, Maurice and Josephine Whelan from 1942-1945 during his time in the Army. Letters were sent from Camp Roberts; New York City; Hawaii; New Guinea; and the Philippines. Also included in this collection are cards with Warren’s address; newspaper clippings; and a Japanese Government ten Pesos note.
