Scope and Contents

Letters written by Tsuruno Meguro addressing her children, Fumio and Yoneko Takano and Leo Meguro, and her friends, the Hirotas. The letters were written while she was staying in Sendai, Japan from May to September 1959. She visited her family, friends, and neighbors in her hometown. This was her first trip to Japan after the war and her letters describe the postwar Japan.
