Materials are documents regarding Civil Liberties Act of 1988 for Yoneko and Fumio Takano and Yoshiko Ruth Meguro. Included are Civil Liberties Act of 1988 voluntary information forms; letters from National Archives and Records Administration; instructions for redress payment; letters from the Office of Redress Administration; and a letter from the White House.

Materials are four notebooks of diaries written by Tsuruno Meguro in 1963-1977 and documents regarding her passing, such as funeral information issued by Kubota Nikkei Mortuary, a letter from Transamerica Occidental Life Insurance Company, certificate of death, and obituaries in English and Japanese.

Included are Yoshiko Ruth Meguro's diplomas, the Bible Insititute of Los Angeles 1950 photo, certificate from Inter-Continental Computing Institute Inc, personal narrative describing what brought her to Faith in Christianity, birth registration, graduation program, and college yearbook, "Biolan 1950, vol. 17."

Materials are Leo Ryoichi Meguro's high school yearbook, "The Monticellan" published by the student body of Thomas Jefferson High School, along with portraits given from his friends to him, Frank Wiggins Trade School diploma, Ordnance Automotive School certificate, and his last will and statement.

Scope and Contents From the Series: This series contains an album of Tsuruno Meguro's trip to Japan in 1938; photographs of the Japanese American community in Colorado in the 1920s and 1930s; the 1938 Rose Parade; the Japanese American community in California after the war; the Takano family’s relatives in Japan; and wartime and post-war Japan.The Meguro family resided in Colorado in the 1920s and 1930s prior to moving to California. Scope and Contents From the Series: Materials include letters and postcards from Fumio Fred Takano's family members as well as copies of his letters to his non-Japanese American friend. Most of the letters were written during the war and the contents of his letters include discussions regarding his efforts to seek assistance from his Caucasian friend; management of his property in Los Angeles, California during the war; and discussions regarding shipping the family's belongings from Los Angeles to the Gila River incarceration...

Letters written by Tsuruno Meguro addressing her children, Fumio and Yoneko Takano and Leo Meguro, and her friends, the Hirotas. The letters were written while she was staying in Sendai, Japan from May to September 1959. She visited her family, friends, and neighbors in her hometown. This was her first trip to Japan after the war and her letters describe the postwar Japan.
