Scope and Contents

The Iraq War Collection (November 1990, 1991, 2001, September 2002; 2003- 2005, 2007, 2009; undated) contains flyers, pamphlets, books, stickers, buttons, essays, poems, and other material relating to the Gulf War (1990-1991), and Iraq War (2003-2011). A majority of the flyers are in regards to anti-war and peace movement demonstrations, meetings, teach-ins, film screenings, forums, direct action, rallies, discussions, and marches.

This series contains general materials related to the community and history of Compton, CA. The bulk of the materials consist of event fliers, programs, and local newspapers. Oversized newspaper clippings and Christmas parade sign are located separately in map case 2, drawer 3.
