Abstract

This collection is related to Sue Doro, a woman who worked as a machinist for over thirty-five years, and wrote poetry about her experiences as a machinist, and her life. It includes newspapers and publications related to her poetry books, apperances, and poetry readings; permissions; copyright; publications; correspondence; issues of "Pride and a Paycheck," Blue Jean Pocket Writers Workshops, and other material related to Sue Doro and women tradeswomen.

Scope and Contents The Pat Kalayjian Collection (1843-1942, undated) contains photographs and books belonging to Pat Kalayjian, associate professor of interdisciplinary studies at Cal State Dominguez Hills. The majority of photographs are military photographs of Ashford General Hospital in West Virginia and 1942 army training. Also included is an undated aerial view of Los Angeles and a panoramic class photo from Ranchito Grammar School in Pico Rivera, circa 1922-1924. Books are mainly focused on Christianity,...
