Abstract

This collection contains programs, flyers, reports, newspapers, magazines, books, DVDs, VHS tapes, t-shirts, and other material belonging to Florante Peter Ibanez. A majority of the material in this collection relates to Filipino American events, organizations, history and culture. This collection also contains material related to Chinese American, Japanese American, Hawaiian; and other Asian American and Pacific Islander events and organizations.

Abstract This collection contains mostly "The Lion" yearbooks from Langston University, as well as Jones family obituaries, and a memory book belonging to Carold A. Jones that contains photographs of Carold and his family, friends, and high school classmates in front of homes and other buildings, posing in front of cars and outdoors, portraits, and images taken at Langston University including images of students in caps and gowns, and class photographs. Scope and Contents

This series contains general materials related to the community and history of Compton, CA. The bulk of the materials consist of event fliers, programs, and local newspapers. Oversized newspaper clippings and Christmas parade sign are located separately in map case 2, drawer 3.

This series is comprised of materials related to Compton resident, Frances E. Childers. The bulk of the series consists of newsletters, programs, and photographs from public schools within the city of Compton during the 1950s and 60s.
