Black History Pamphlets Collection
This collection contains pamphlets, ephemera, booklets, joutrnals, comic books, and other materials related to Black history in the last 200 years. Subjects include slavery, economics, Black/White relations, as well as noted Black figures, including Rev. Martin Luther King, Malcolm X, Anglea Davis, Huey Newton, Paul Robeson, C.L.R. James, and Amanda Smith. Publications include Black journals, zines, and comic books introducing Black superheroes.

Filer Compton Collection

A large portion of the collection consists of Jet magazines but almost equally as large is the collection of Ebony magazines. Some of the titles also included are The Crisis, Los Angeles Times, The Bulletin and more.

The Bond, The Servicemen's Newspaper Collection
This collection contains 61 issues of "The Bond: The Servicemen's Newspaper", an American Servicemen's Union newspaper containing articles and letters written by servicemen. Topics relate to the antiwar movement, the Vietnam War, and American foreign policy.
