Akamine and Fuchita Family Papers
This collection includes letters, certificates, photographs, scrapbooks, high school yearbooks, oral history interviews, and other material related to the Akamine, Fuchita, and Yasumura families. Subjects in the collection include the Manzanar and Rowher incarceration camps, Koyasan Buddhist Temple, Buddhism, World War II, and other topics. The Asian Pacific Studies Collection
The focus of the Asian Pacific Studies Collection is Japanese American evacuation and internment during World War II. This includes photographs, posters, newspapers, class reports, syllabi, and other materials about Japanese-American life in Los Angeles before World War II, evacuation, internment, and life following release from the camps. Materials were collected by a professor of history at CSUDH.
Jimmy Fukuhara Manzanar Camp Collection
This collection contains one box of photographs, letters, flyers, postcards, booklets, newspaper clippings, newspapers, and notes related to Jimmy Fukuhara, the Fukuhara family, and the Manzanar incarceration camp.
Aiko Herzig Yoshinaga Papers
This collection includes correspondence, media, publications, photographs, manuscripts, documents, and other materials related to Aiko Herzig Yoshinaga's life and work related to activism and social justice. Subjects in the collection include Redress and Reparations, the Commission on Wartime Relocation and Internment of Civilians, Japanese American incarceration, and Aiko's personal life. Some material has been digitized and is available online.
Mike Hiranuma Family Photographs
This collection contains photographs of the Hiranuma family and others at the Heart Mountain incarceration camp. Images in the collection include barracks, incarcerees, and life at the camp. All of the items in this collection have been digitized and are available online.
Horita Family Papers
The Horita Family Papers (1940-2010, undated) collection contains 2.6 linear feet of documents from the Horita family, a Japanese American family from the Los Angeles area. The collection focuses on married couple Chitoshi “Harry” Horita (1896-1990) and Marue Nakashima Horita (1901-1982) and their extended family and includes records of the family’s incarceration at the Poston (Colorado River) incarceration camp, research into the family’s history, photographs, and correspondence.

This collection includes eleven digitized photographs about the Akahoshi family. Images include school portraits, family photographs, and other portraits. All items in this collection have been digitized and are available in the archvies.
