The main objective of many of OTI’s grant funded projects is to recruit and retain women in non-traditional employment, through outreach, assistance, and education for women, employers, labor unions, and Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees (JATCs). This sub-series contains proposals, reports, committee meeting minutes, statistics, surveys, correspondence, budgets, and other materials regarding grant funded and community based projects. The bulk of the materials in this sub-series pertain to Pathways to Success, the Gender Equity Project, the Oregon Construction Workforce Alliance (OCWA) Equity Project, Building Futures in Industry and Trades (B-FIT), Construction Apprenticeship Workforce Solutions (CAWS), Brownfields Job Training for Women, Oregon Department of Transportation Youth of Color Women in Trades, and projects created in collaboration with the City of Portland, Portland Community College, Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT), and Portland Development Commission (PDC). Materials regarding other OTI projects as well as grant requests and fundraising ideas are also included. This sub-series is arranged by project and then chronologically within each project.
