Scope and Contents

Bound text includes several essays, including: “The Dumagat People: Statistical, geographical, and Historical Data”; “Buri “Encantado”", a story in Bikol by Ambrosio Florendo of Butawanan; “Experience and Educational Progress in the Islands,” by Russel Trace; “Some notes on the Development of the Public School System in the Philippines.” Content also includes lists of vocabulary in Dumagat with Bikol and English translations, and compositions in English by Igorot school boys. Inscription inside front cover: “Mr. John S. Crone. Kendallville, Indiana. From Frank, Manila, Jan. 24, 1914.”
