This sub-series contains newspaper and magazine clippings mostly from New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle, San Francisco Examiner, and Los Angeles Times, as well as other publications. This sub-series is arranged by date and contains topics such as: elections, U.S. military aid, sanctuaries, human rights violations, death squads, protests and demonstrations, Jose Napoleon Duarte, Salvadoran military, Salvadoran government, refugees, political asylum, Archbishop Oscar Romero, peace talks, CISPES and illegal FBI surveillance, massacres, guerillas, and other related topics regarding the Salvadoran Civil War and El Salvador in the 1980s-1990s. This sub-series also contains flyers, pamphlets, leaflets, and other ephemera from protests, fundraisers, and other events regarding El Salvador and not sponsored by CISPES.
