Scope and Contents
This sub-series contains documents generated by and about Farabundo Martí National Liberation (FMLN) a Salvadoran political party that was one of the main participants in the Salvadoran Civil War; and includes formal FMLN/FDR publications such as press releases, comminques, statements, newsletters, reports, publications such as Venceremos Organo Oficial Del Frente Farabundo Marti Para La Liberacion Nacional and Centro de Documentation Farabundo Marti (CEDOC), and other documents. Also included in this sub-series are materials generated by Casa El Salvador, Radio Venceremos- an underground radio network of the FMLN that operated during the Salvadoran Civil War- bulletins, reports, interview transcripts, and articles; documents regarding Fuerzas Populares de Liberación Farabundo Martí- the oldest of the five groups that merged in 1980 to form the Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN); articles and papers written by FMLN member Joaquín Villalobos; and material about FMLN/FDR generated by CISPES such as military summaries and updates; educational packets; pamphlets; and documents regarding a FMLN/FDR tour.
