Scope and Contents

this sub-series contains reports, articles, clippings, financial documents, consent forms, interviews, maps, photographs, and other material related to the Japanese American Historical Mapping Project (JAHMP) a California Civil Liberties Public Education Project (CCLPEP) digital mapping research study of San Pedro (Hills) Vegetable Growers Association (SPVGA) families and their community hub on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The objectives of the project were to use oral histories and questionnaires; GIS technology, aerial photography, or satellite imaging for accurate digital mapping of the community’s farm fields, farm houses, and buildings; and to design an interactive website to trace serial relocations.
