Series I: Wartime publications, 1942-1946
Wartime publications series consists of bulletins, newsletters, pamphlets, announcements, and others that were published during World War II and collected by Kiyoshi Uyekawa while incarcerated in the Tule Lake camp. Most of the items were published for or by the incarcerees in the Tule Lake camp.

Materials are mainly published items from the Gila River camp in Arizona during the war including newspapers, booklets, and maps. There is also a booklet from the 50th reunion published in 1995.

This series contains publications by Southern California Gardeners' Federation (SCGF) and Gardena Valley Gardeners Association Inc. = ガーデナー平原庭園業者組合, which is one of the SCGF chapter members. The publications provide one century of the history of Japanese American gardeners.
