The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) History Collection (circa 1937-1945, 1969-2001) contains magazines; newspapers; newsletters; articles; and other material regarding Asian American and Pacific Islander communities. Topics include: local news and events; activism; and culture.
The Asian Pacific Studies Collection
The focus of the Asian Pacific Studies Collection is Japanese American evacuation and internment during World War II. This includes photographs, posters, newspapers, class reports, syllabi, and other materials about Japanese-American life in Los Angeles before World War II, evacuation, internment, and life following release from the camps. Materials were collected by a professor of history at CSUDH.

This collection contains athletic event programs, correspondence, magazines, photographs, certificates, postcards, and other material mostly related to Ken Carpenter's college athletic career in discus including his time on the United States track-and-field team during the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, Germany where he won a gold medal.
