Akamine and Fuchita Family Papers
This collection includes letters, certificates, photographs, scrapbooks, high school yearbooks, oral history interviews, and other material related to the Akamine, Fuchita, and Yasumura families. Subjects in the collection include the Manzanar and Rowher incarceration camps, Koyasan Buddhist Temple, Buddhism, World War II, and other topics. Most of this collection is digitized and available online.
The Asian Pacific Studies Collection
The focus of the Asian Pacific Studies Collection is Japanese American evacuation and internment during World War II. This includes photographs, posters, newspapers, class reports, syllabi, and other materials about Japanese-American life in Los Angeles before World War II, evacuation, internment, and life following release from the camps. Materials were collected by a professor of history at CSUDH.
Thomas F. Barton papers
This collection includes the personal and professional papers of Thomas F. Barton, an anti-war activist and socialist who organized soldiers against the Vietnam and Iraq wars. It includes newsletters, articles, correspondence, meeting minutes and agendas that document Barton’s involvement with various anti-war and socialist organizations, and the distribution, founding, and publishing of various anti-war newsletters.

Mike J. Chavez World War Two Letters
This collection contains letters that were mostly sent by D-Day veteran, Mike J Chavez to his wife Stella Chavez during his tour in World War II. Also included in this collection are letters from Percy Chavez to Mrs. Mike Joe Chavez; a draft of a eulogy for Mike Chavez written by one of his children; a copy of a program for the "Jubilee of Liberty, Normany Beach 1944" award ceremony; one copy of "Stars and Stripes" Vol. 5, No. 195; and empty War Department envelopes.
Vincent "Frank" Chavez Photograph Album
The Vincent "Frank" Chavez Photograph Album includes photographs documenting Chavez' military service, Mexican-American family life in California from the late 1940s through the 1980s, and clippings and ephemera relating to life as a Vietnam Veteran.
