Abstract

This collection contains one scrapbook. In June 1947, Gilbert J. Iles and his mother, presumably Berdella Iles went on a trip to Nassau, Bahamas. In the creator's words the scrapbook starts by stating: "In June 1947, mother and I went to Nassau, Bahamas to visit Bill and Theda who were engaged in missionary work in that field. He was pastor of the two churches in the city -- the Shirley street church and the Grants Town church. We made the trip by car to Miami and from there to Nassau by Pan American airplane, taking 65 minutes for the plane trip. The following pages depict, by words and pictures, the wonders and pleasures of our vacation."
