Phil Wilkes Fixico Collection
Scope and Contents
The Phil Wilkes Fixico Collection (1966-2021, undated) contains documents relating to the life and career of Phil Wilkes Fixico, a Black-Seminole American activist and founder of the Semiroon Historical Society. Documents include photocopies of Fixico’s awards, certificates, degrees, and photographs, as well as articles focusing on Fixico and/or people of Black-Seminole heritage. Also included is a copy of A Man Called Horse by Glennette Tilley Turner.
