Scope and Contents
The 1910 Los Angeles Aviation Meet at Dominguez Field Time Capsule Collection (1941; 1953; 1974; undated) contains approximately 20 items that were a part of a time capsule that was unearthed on the CSU Dominguez Hills campus in 2020 during construction of the Innovation and Instruction building. The time capsule was buried as part of a re-dedication ceremony hosted by the Native Daughters of the Golden West (NDGW). Included in this collection are NDGW sticker, pin, invitations, founding information, and program; a news release, statements, articles, and a program regarding the re-dedication ceremony; Dominguez Water Corporation brochure; pins; stickers; a photograph; and articles.

Biographical / Historical
In 1974 a dedication ceremony hosted by the Native Daughters of the Golden West (NDGW), a non-profit organization for women born in California dedicated to the care and preservation of California history, was held on the CSU Dominguez Hills campus to honor the 1910 Los Angeles International Aviation Meet. During this ceremony a plaque marking the re-dedication was installed. Due to the construction of the Innovation and Instruction building and renovation of the North Lawn, the plaque was removed revealing the pvc metal capped pipe time capsule that had been buried underneath, presumably during the 1974 dedication ceremony.
