Scope and Contents
The Right-Wing and Conservative Publications Collection (1938-2021; undated) contains newsletters, newspapers, bulletins, magazines, pamphlets, flyers, mailers, and other documents generated by right-wing, religious, extremist, and conservative organizations and individuals. Material in this collection includes information regarding topics such as right-wing politics, religion, anti-communist activities, conservatism, antifeminism, segregation, political extremism, and racism.
Series One contains material arranged alphabetically by the name of the organization or publication. Publications include: "Common Sense: The Nation's Anti-Communist Newspaper", "Dan Smoot Report", "Moral Majority Report","American Opinion", "Phyllis Schlafly Report", "The Citizen","Chick Publications", and others. A few of the organizations in this series include: John Birch Society, Daughters of the American Revolution, Network of Patriotic Letter Writers, Church League of America, Americans for Freedom, and others.
Series Two contains material arranged alphabetically by subject, or author name for individual booklets or pamphlets. Subjects include: anti-communism, faith-based education, Barry Goldwater, religion, eugenics, and anti-semitism.
