Institutional grant files consist mainly of correspondence, memoranda, brochures and pamphlets, and final reports from institutional recipients of the Foundation's grants. Many of the institutions are Los Angeles-area colleges and universities, including USC, CSU Dominguez Hills, CSU Los Angeles, and the California Institute of Technology (Cal Tech). Grants were also awarded to institutions and groups in San Diego and Spain. One box of folders was missing as of November 2005, consisting of folders Cl – UC R.
