Scope and Contents

Included are two messages sent from Atsushi Art Ishida's mother, Saku Ishida, in Hiroshima, Japan to him and his brother, Takashi Ishida. The messages were initially sent to their address in Artesia, California where they resided prior to the forced evacuation, but later forwarded to the Jerome incarceration camp in Arkansas where they were incarcerated. Delivered with the assistance of the Red Cross, including Société de la Croix-Rouge du Japon, Comité international de la Croix-Rouge, and American Red Cross.
