Scope and Contents

This series consists mostly of research notes, drafts of essays and lectures, charts and data sets, papers with accompanying correspondence and bibliographies related to Dr. Price’s pre and post doctoral studies. It also includes program information on several conferences and other academic events Dr. Price either participated as a lecturer or attendee. Main research topics deal with gender and race in the American and Asian workplaces, Affirmative Action policy as well as approaches to globalization and technology. Most of Price’s research projects have laid the foundation for the development of documentaries; examples include but are not limited to: Faces of Tradeswomen (1995) presented in the 1995 United Nations Women’s Conference in Hairou, China, Transnational Tradeswomen (2006) which was also inspired by the aforementioned conference, and Hammering It Out: Negotiating Gender and Race on a California Freeway (2000).
