This sub-series contains indexes to lists of whites and Blacks not arrested but killed by mobs from 1840-1901. Information included is a listing of hangings by state, name of victim, their suspected crime, location, date, and source. Also included in this sub-series is a listing of the deceased and includes name, location of death, and date.
