The Winston Hewitt Collection (1909-2004; undated) contains 11 boxes and 10 linear feet of material related to Winston Hewitt, a former French language teacher at CSU Dominguez Hills, and artist. Included in this collection are materials related to Hewitt's childhood, schooling, military stint, and teaching career; correspondence; photographs and slides; and catalogs, advertisements, clippings, and photographs regarding Hewitt's artwork.

This series contains photographs, negatives, and 35mm slides featuring images from Hewitt's childhood; family; images taken while Hewitt was in the military and studying abroad and include photographs taken in France, Italy, Spain, and Norway; and images of nature, and landmarks around the United States. Also included are images of Hewitt and his artwork, and images taken in and around Hewitt's home in Oregon.
