This series is made up of material directly published by the Black Panther Party. A majority of the material is generated by the Committee to Defend the Panther 21; and Black Panther Party for Self-Defense. Topics in the series include the arrests of the “Panther 21”, the elections involving Eldridge Cleaver, the actions of Bobby Seale and Huey P. Newton, and other general Black Panther ideology. The series also includes three photographs of members of the Black Panther Party and Brown Berets.
