"Channeling" Liberation Press [booklet], circa 1968
Scope and Contents
This series contains newspaper issues; newsletters; press releases; flyers; and other material that was published in the United States by members of the Armed Forces; student activist groups; and anti-war and anti-military support groups. A majority of the publications are part of the G.I. underground press movement that were either created on military bases; or by active duty, veterans, discharged G.I.s, deserters, and draft resisters who wanted to create anti-war material for their peers. This series is arranged alphabetically by organization or publication name.

General
Note from publication: "Channeling" was one of 10 documents in an 'Orientation Kit' put out July 1965 by the Selective Service System. It was withdrawn, perhaps because of the outrage it engendered. However, the SSS still presents material from the 1965 pamphlet in an abbreviated and less candid form.
