Series II: International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE), 1941-2019, bulk: 1950-1985

This series contains newsletters, magazines, contracts, agreements, court transcripts, memorandums, constitution, by-laws, calendars, clippings, photographs, flyers, even programs, material related to elections, receipts, bank deposits, and other material generated by the Internationl Union of Operating Engineers and is divided into three sub-series. Sub-Series A: Publications contains issues of "The International Operating Engineer", Local 501 newletters, and "Gauge" magazine. Sub-Series B: Contracts and Agreements contains mostly contracts and agreements, but also memorandums, negotiations, letters, notes, arbitration hearing transcripts, proposals, grievances, and other documents related to organizations that had business with IUOE Local 501. Sub-Series C: Other Material contains constitutions, by-laws, election material, buttons, stickers, convention material, photographs, reports, and more. A majority of this sub-series is related to Local 501, but also includes materials related to Local 1, Local 3, Local 12, and Local 286; and documents related to the Local 63 and Local 235 merger, and IUOE history; as well as copies of the "The Stationary Engineer" by Raymond Tucker.
