This series contains reprints, speeches, mailers, newsletters, and other documents generated mostly by pacifist organizations such as: National Council for Prevention of War (NCPW), American Friends Service Committee, National Council Against Conscription, War Resisters League, and Friends Committee on National Legislation- whose missions were to prevent the outbreak of war, and advance world peace. Included are issues of "The Peacemaker"; "From Washington" Women's International League for Peace and Freedom Branch Letters; and documents entitled "The Way Out" by Fenner Brockway, and "Socialism and the War". Also included in this series are documents regarding anti-conscription, as well as text of addresses by Dwight D. Eisenhower when he was the Republican nominee for President.
