Ocean Trails and Sierra Club lawsuit, 1995-2002
Scope and Contents
This sub-series includes documents pertaining to the former Ocean Trails Golf Club, now known as the Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles. The site was set to open in 1999 when a landslide occured in June of that year, causing the 18th hole to slide towards the ocean and the Club to subsequently go into bankruptcy. It was purchased by Donald Trump in 2002 and redesigned before opening in 2006. These documents pertain to the property after the landslide and during the new ownership's redesign, including habitat rehabilitation, landscaping plans, Environmental Impact Reports, and real estate documents.
