The Los Angeles Sentinel is an African American-owned newspaper that was founded by Leon H. Washington in 1933, making it the oldest newspaper in Western America. The newspaper covers news, entertainment, and other topics within the Los Angeles, Inglewood, and Compton areas. This sub-series contains issues between 1966- 2020.
