Scope and Contents
This series contains biographies and obituaries for both John and Irene Burns. The biographies contain information of their family and marriage together, as well as information from their individual lives, including their childhood, friends, and careers. The Irene Burns Records folder contains Burns’ academic report cards, Long Beach Junior College transcript, and employment record from North American Aviation in Downey California. Also included in this series are materials regarding genealogy for both the Jennings and Burns families; family and baby records for Irene Burns; certificates and union cards belonging to John Burns; John and Irene's dating history; and material related to Raleigh E. Jenning's retirement. Also included in this series is a file dedicated to Nelson Meachan; Maureen Burns' cousin, and Irene Burns' nephew. This file included photographs, biographical information, and material related to his celebration of life.
