Scope and Contents
This series contains articles; newspaper clippings; press releases; notes; correspondence; memorandums; reports; meeting minutes and agendas; photographs; and other material featuring topics such as politics, elections, redevelopment projects, the environment, construction projects, communities, education, crime, activism, labor unions, and others. A majority of the material focuses on the South Bay area of Southern California and Los Angeles, and includes material regarding the Port of Los Angeles; Los Angeles Export Terminal (LAXT); Los Angeles Police Department; Los Angeles Unified School District; development projects in San Pedro and Wilmington; local politicians such as Rudy Svorinich, James Hahn, and Janice Hahn; and other related subjects. Also included are invoices, advertisements, flyers, proofs, and other material related to local businesses, organizations, and events.This series is arranged alphabetically. Material in this series may overlap in subject area with material located in Series I.

Material was removed from original folders and placed into archival folders with reference to original folder titles. Although material has been arranged alphabetically and into this series by subject; original order was maintained in regards to material within each folder and folder titles, meaning that documents have been placed in the same order within each folder, and folder titles were authored by the collection's creator.
