Buffalo Soldiers Brass Band Photographs , circa 1943-1944
Scope and Contents
two panoramic photographs featuring images of 65 musicians of the 92nd Infantry Division band during World War II, presumably taken at Fort Huachuca, AZ. In one photograph, the musicians are wearing their side caps, and in the other photograph, the musicians are wearing their combat helmets. In both images, the musicians are in four rows and holding various instruments. The division's logo which features a single buffalo can be see on the bass drum that is in both photographs.
