A majority of these photographs were taken at a parade and reception for returning Spanish-American War soldiers, 1889. Philadelphia. Other images in this folder include: an image of the Old Guard State Fencibles circa 1889; images of Pennsylvania National Guard at Mt. Gretna, PA., July 1915 and undated; a portrait of M.J. Pickering taken in 1928; and an image of M.J. Pickering and presumably his wife and children playing cards, undated.
