This series contains material related to all areas of operation within the National Writers Union and includes correspondence, budget information, memorandums, grievances, job postings, affiliation agreements, clippings, brochures, reports, and other documents. Also included in this series are documents related to Alvah Bessie, Image/Examiner Magazine, and Village Voice campaigns; material related to Salman Rushdie’s publication,“The Satanic Verses”; photographs from a Local 3 conference; material related to the Elaine Chao v.
