Scope and Contents
This series includes correspondence, photographs, media, personal files, and other subjects related to Aiko Herzig Yoshinaga's life and work. The first subseries, Correspondence, includes primarily printed email correspondence to and from various people and organizations.
The second subseries, Photographs, includes photographs presumably taken by Aiko Herzig Yoshinaga or given to her by various sources. Some of the photos are family photographs, while others relate to her work and incarceration during World War II.
The third subseries, Los Angeles High School, includes yearbooks, a graduation cap, and other material related to Aiko Herzig Yoshinaga's experience at that school.
The fourth subseries, Awards and Certificates, includes awards and certificates given to Aiko Herzig Yoshinaga and Jack Herzig.
The fifth subseries, Media, includes floppy disks, CDS, VHS tapes, zip disks, DVDs, and Blu Rays related to Aiko's life and work. It includes oral histories, interviews, back up computer files, and other topics.
The sixth subseries, Personal Files, includes Jack and Aiko's stamp collections, recipes, logs, lists, address books, and other material related to their life.

Conditions Governing Access
Access is restricted to some material in the collection.
During processing, personal and health-related information was removed from the collection. If access copies could be created that concealed the confidential information, they were added back into the collection. Other material is closed and restricted according to HIPPA guidelines and the judgment of the archives staff.
