The three Westways magazine issues include Dumke's fiction stories: "The Dismal Luck of James Ohio," "Disaster by the Golden Gate," and "The Guns and Gold of Madison Chaney."

Scope and content From the Series:

Includes correspondence with various notable individuals that are of a more personal nature, such as, former California Governors, George Deukmejian and Ronald Reagan, Donald Gerth, Irving Stone, and Charles George Page, as well as figures who seemed notable to Dumke personally. Also includes invitations and thank you notes regarding events, as well as personal correspondence between Dr. Dumke and his wife, Dorothy.

Glenn Dumke was also a writer who wrote across formats, from fictional westerns to academic journal articles, to historical non-fiction. The writing series includes both published and unpublished works, some of which contain notes, drafts and correspondence. Part of this series is also his early writing as a student.
