Series V. Speeches and Media Coverage, [1939?]-1989, undated

 Series

Scope and content

Glenn Dumke was a prolific public speaker, presenting at convocations, association meetings, management conferences, historical societies, and many university events. Topics range from perspectives on the role of higher education, the master plan, northern and southern California history, international relations, and economics to honoring colleagues and their successes. Some of the speeches in this series also have correspondence, notes, and drafts. Dates and the name and place of the event are noted where known. Speeches that are directly connected to Dumke’s positions within an organization and are for an audience only within that organization, for example speeches for faculty as SFSU while Dumke was President there, will be found within the records for that organization.
