CSU Library Affairs records consist of pre-CSU system State College Librarians Council and CSU system Council of Library Directors (renamed the Council of Library Deans in 2008) meeting minutes (1950-1973, 1984-2008), correspondence, and administrative files. Other library committees, subcommittees, and task forces, such as Library Development Advisory Committee; Serials Editorial Advisory Committee; and PHAROS Management Task Force files contain agenda, minutes, memos, correspondence, drafts, and reports.

Library Affair’s administrative files contain budget formulas, inter-institutional library cooperation articles, acquisitions, de-acquisition policy, employee classification and reclassification, Librarian Personnel Plan, library surveys and statistics, and implementation of automated circulation system across libraries. CSUC Librarians’ Chapter of California Library Association’s correspondence, recorded meetings, and newsletter (1977-1992) are also part of this collection. Library Strategic Plans and various Request for Proposal documents are also present.
